Description:The frameless photograph shows the street facade of the Belgrade two-storey hotel ‘Pariz’ around 1900, with a café and beer hall in the centre of the picture and an inn on the lower right. Male and female pedestrians are standing and walking on the pavement.
Comment:Belgrade’s first permanent cinema was established in 1908 in the hotel ‘Pariz’ on Terazije square. At that time, the owner of both the hotel and cinema was Svetozar Botorić.
