Object:Advertisement for the feature film ‘Yego zovut Sukhe-Bator’
Description:The leaflet features two Mongolian soldiers in uniform in the foreground. The soldier on the right has his right arm slung around the right shoulder of the second, smaller soldier. The gesture of his left arm suggests that he is presenting something to the other. In the background, a map depicts parts of Mongolia and the adjacent Soviet Union. A flagpole roughly indicates the geographical position of the Mongolian city of Sukhe Bator. The black flag features the hammer and sickle and the name of Sukhe Bator. A legend is printed in the lower part of the leaflet: ‘The Soviet film about the great and glorious battle for the freedom and independence of the new People’s Republic of Mongolia’.
Comment:The film ‘His Name Is Sukhe-Bator’ was directed by Иосиф Хейфиц (Iosif Kheifits) and Александр Зархи (Aleksandr Zarkhi) and was released in 1942.
