Object:Advertisement for the feature film ‘The sound barrier’
Description:The frameless leaflet features a photograph of a couple in the foreground. She is casually dressed and has linked her arm with a man who is taller and more formally dressed. He is wearing a light-coloured suit and carrying a coat over his left arm. She is looking up to him; he is looking down at her. In the background, an aircraft is parked with a man standing in front of it. The top right corner shows a handwritten number: 16a.
Comment:The number 16a is probably a former index number. Ralph Richardson and Ann Todd played the leading roles. The film was directed by David Lean and released in 1952. The film had the Serbo-Croatian title ‘Brži od zvuka’ (Faster than sound).
