Comment: | Rudolph Klein-Rogge played the role of Dr. Mabuse; Oskar Beregi played Prof. Dr. Baum, director of a psychiatric asylum; Theodor Loos was cast as Dr. Kramm and Otto Wernicke as Detective Superintendent Lohmann. The remake was based on‘Dr. Mabuse, der Spieler’ (Dr. Mabuse the gambler), released in 1922. ‘The Testament of Dr. Mabuse’ was released in 1933. |
