Description:The frameless leaflet shows leading lady Columba Domínguez with tears in her eyes and her leading man, Roberto Cañedo. They are looking in different directions. He is taller than she is. The letters on the bottom left of the picture display the Serbo-Croatian translation of the Spanish original title: ‘Jedan dan života’ (One day of life). The legend below the picture reads: ‘Filmovi koji se pamte’ (Movies to be remembered).
Comment:‘Jedan dan života’ was the most viewed foreign feature film in former Yugoslavia. The story is about a Cuban woman journalist who visits revolutionary Mexico at the beginning of the twentieth century and in some ways parallels Yugoslavia’s conflict with the Soviet Union in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The film was directed by Emilio Fernandez and was released in 1950.
