Description:Čiča Ilija Stanojević photographed in the photo studio owned by M. Savić in Belgrade. He is elegantly dressed in a dark three-piece suit and colour-coordinated necktie and hat. He is posing in half-profile.
Comment:The printed words at the bottom left translate as: ‘Atelier M. Savić, Belgrade.’ ‘Ilija Stanojević’ is printed on the bottom of the cardboard mount. Stanojević was the director of the first two Serbian features, ‘Karadjordje’ and ‘Ulrich from Cilli and Vladislav Hunyadi’, shot in the summer of 1911.
