Tempore huius phalec facta est linguarum diuisio in edificatione turris babel in agro sennaar; in cuius familia quia remansit hebrea lingua , omnium antiquissima, dictus est ipse phalec , idest ab aliis diuisus.
During the time of this Peleg, the division of languages occurred during the building of the tower of Babel in the field of Shinar. Because his family retained the Hebrew language, the most ancient of all, he was called Peleg, that is, separated from the others.
