On the Time Under Hoshea: Text and Manuscripts

Go to the Kings of Judah and Israel, Part 2 group, the Visual edition.

Sub osee , licet dedisset licentiam eundi ter in jerusalem , captiuate sunt decem tribus a salmanasar , inter quas tobias , cuius hystoria nota est, captiuatus ; obsessa tribus annis samaria, scuteis uel jacobitis uel samaritanis impleta , qui, ob timorem leonum, lege recepta , non abiecerunt ydola.
Under Hoshea, although he had been given permission to go to Jerusalem, the ten tribes were captured by Shalmaneser. Among them was Tobit, whose history is well known. Samaria was beseiged for three years and filled with Cuthites, Jacobites, and Samaritans, who, for fear of lions, received the law, but did not abandon idols.

Image excerpts from the manuscripts (as grouped by main graph versions) are the result of tool-based image annotation (via Cadmus) or manual extraction. For each manuscript version only these visually annotated manuscripts are listed here. For the grouping of all manuscripts we provide a separate list (Manuscript groups). Transcriptions are semi-diplomatic following project specific rules.
