Glossing

Description:The lemma in the base text which the gloss is annotating.

Description:A single distinct meaningful element of writing. Within the analysis of glosses in the Celtic languages combinations like "preposition + article" or infixed pronouns within the verbal complex are analysed as distinct words.

Description:Name of the base text which is glossed.
