Description and scope of data processing

When accessing the websites of the Humanities Asset Management System (GAMS) of the University of Graz, our web servers temporarily store each access in a log file. The following data is recorded and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  1. IP address of accessing computer
  2. Date and time of access
  3. Name and URL of the retrieved data
  4. Amount of data transferred
  5. Notification whether the retrieval was successful
  6. Browser and operating system used for access
  7. Web page from which access is made

Purpose of data processing

This data is processed for the purpose of ensuring the use of the website (connection establishment), system security and technical administration of the network infrastructure. In addition, the processing serves to optimize the Internet service offered. The IP address is only consulted in the event of attacks on our network infrastructure.

Legal basis of data processing

The processing of the above-mentioned data is carried out in particular on the basis of the existing overriding legitimate interest (Art 6 Paragraph 1 lit f DS-GMO) of the University of Graz in the fulfilment of this purpose.

Google Analytics

You can disable Google Analytics at the bottom of this page. If you do not, you give your consent that Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited ("Google") is used on this website. Duration of Data Storage
The data sent by us and linked to cookies, user-identifiers (e.g. User-IDs) or advertising-identifiers are automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period has been reached is automatically deleted once a month.

Rights of the Persons affected
You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by blocking the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functionalities of this website to their full extent.
