Description:Panorama photograph of a street with different buildings in an area fenced off by a stone wall. A tramway is parked in front of one of the buildings. Two girls wearing urban clothes and summer hats are standing on the street in the foreground. One of them is holding some books, the other one a bag. Printed title in Bulgarian and French. Recto: name of the photographer and "Neubert" - probably the publisher.
Comment:On 1 December 1898 the Bulgarian capital municipality commissioned French and Belgian companies to build tram lines. Construction took place for a little more than a year, and the first tram line was inaugurated on 1 January 1901. The first depot (depicted in the photograph) was the "Klokotniza" depot.
