Description:Full length shot of a man wearing a military uniform with insignias of honour and a fur cap. He is carrying a sword and holding a pair of white gloves in his right hand.
Comment:Ivan Sarafov (1856 - 1935) was opalchenets-pobornik, meaning "volunteer combatant", in the Russo-Ottoman War of 1877 - 1878. He became a Bulgarian officer and an officer of the Russian Army as well as major general as of 1905.
