Description:High angle outdoor shot from a balcony down onto a street crowded with soldiers. They are walking toward the photographer, while horse carriages are going the other way. Civilians are walking or standing along both sides of the street. More people are standing on the balcony across the street from the photographer, looking down on the street.
Comment:The 'Battle of Monastir' took place near the town of Bitola in Macedonia (then known as Monastir) during the First Balkan War, 16–19 November 1912. After destroying the Ottoman artillery, the Serbs entered Bitola on 19 November.
