Comment: | Lujo K. Vojinović's (1864–1951) father was Konstantin-Kosta Vojinović (1832–1903), the Earl of Užice, who was a university professor and lawyer. His mother was Dubrovnik-born Maria Serragli, who was of Italian descent. Lujo obtained his doctorate in law from the University of Graz. He then worked as a lawyer in Dubrovnik. In 1896 he became a secretary at Duke Nikola's court of Montenegro and later Montenegro's Minister of Justice and Montenegro's ambassador to the Vatican (1901–1903). Between 1904 and 1906 he taught the young Prince Alexander I Karađorđević at Petar I Karađorđević's court. Between 1907 and 1911 he prepared the Serbo-Bulgarian treaty and in 1912 he finally returned to Montenegro. |
