Description:Head shot of a woman probably wearing the stage costume of Koštana, the leading role of the eponymous theatre play.
Comment:Koštana is a popular play by Borisav Stanković. It is set in Stanković's native Vranje, a town in southern Serbia. It features many themes of Serbian folklore and patriarchal customs. The play premiered at the Royal National Theatre in Belgrade in 1900.
