Comment:Sava Mirkov (1850 - 1927) was a military doctor, one of the founders of military medicine in Bulgaria; opalchenets-pobornik meaning "volunteer combatant" in the Serbo-Ottoman War 1876 and the Russo-Ottoman War 1877 – 1878; member of the Bulgarian Literary association (since 1911 called Bulgarian Academy of Sciences) founded in 1869.
