Comment:Marko Ristić (1902, Belgrade – 1984, Belgrade) was the son of the lawyer, judge and president of the Court of Appeal, Mihailo Ristić, and grandson of the wealthy Serbian liberal statesman, diplomat and historian Jovan Ristić (1831–1899). He became a writer and was a representative of Serbian modernism before shifting toward Surrealism. Already his grandfather Jovan had lived a rather "middle-European", bourgeois, rich lifestyle. Marko became a communist and the first ambassador of Tito's Yugoslavia in Paris. In this picture he is portrayed with his mother, who was the daughter of the lawyer and famous amateur photographer Marko Stojanović.
