Object:Roma man and boy in Kralja Petra Street
Description:A Roma man and boy pose in front of Jovan T. Ukropina’s stationery shop in King Peter Street (Kralja Petra, today M. Mustafe Bašeskije). The man is dressed in traditional costume. His jelek has short sleeves, his čakšire are tattered, and the shawl wrapped around his cap is also folded around his neck. He holds a metal chain in his left hand. The boy is in motion, his portrait blurred. In the background, a man with a broom and wheelbarrow is sweeping the street, while another, seen from the back, is crossing it. He wears a suit, but no hat, and holds a briefcase under his arm. The wooden fence bordering the sidewalk he is heading for is covered with a series of identical advertisments for 'Bata' shoes.
Comment:Analogue photographic process, negative-positive (Agfa Isopan 17 DIN). Original preserved as a positive on silver bromine paper, stored as a print and a digital record.
