Description:Group portrait of roughly eighty men, all but one dressed in the traditional male costume of the Šumadija region, including dark čakšire, a jelek with dark cording, opanci, embroidered stockings and a dark fur cap (šubara), posing in front of the Narodno pozorište theatre entrance. A man in the second row on the left is in army uniform.
Comment:The photograph was published as part of a report in the newspaper Vreme on the exchange visits of peasants from Serbia and Croatia. Around eighty male members of the cultural association 'Svetlost' from the Kruševac region travelled to Belgrade and Zagreb to enhance mutual understanding between peasants in Serbia and Croatia.
