Description:A man in elegant urban clothes stands ostentatiously in front of a fashion shop in an alley in Mahmutpaşa çarşısı, his elbow casually resting on a showcase and looking towards the camera. A customer to his left is inspecting a sweater. She is wearing a headscarf and an overcoat. The walls of the shop are covered with shirts, hats and sweaters. Inside, two more men are standing in the dark.
Comment:The photograph belongs to a series taken for an article in Cumhuriyet with the title, ‘Preparations for bayram in the city’.
