Object:Boats at the Eyüp quay
Description:View over the Golden Horn Haliç from Eyüp to Sütlüce. In the foreground of the lower half of the picture, pleasure boats are moored to narrow wooden stages. The rowing boats are richly decorated and feature a throne-like seat for customers. The two boats in the centre also have a sun shade. There is a man sitting or lying on each boat, obviously waiting for customers. On the other side of the Golden Horn, in the upper half of the picture, the industrial structures of the Sütlüce neighbourhood in Beyoğlu can be seen.
Comment:The industrial buildings on the opposite side of the Golden Horn Haliç belong to the Sütlüce slaughterhouse, which was in use up to 1985.
