Object:Lady and girl walking on the Akıntıburnu quay
Description:A woman and girl are walking towards the camera on the Akıntıburnu quay on a sunny, windy day. The woman, dressed in a light coat and skirt and wearing a scarf around her neck, has clasped the girl’s left hand firmly to her chest. The girl, in a short flowered dress and wearing white socks and shoes, is looking at her. They seem to be talking. Both are holding something white in their free hands. Behind them is a typical Istanbul ferryboat scene: a boat is approaching the quay as a man holds up a flag. He is dressed in a white shirt and dark trousers and is looking towards the camera. On his left, a large billboard faces the sea and a ferry is leaving the quay.
Comment:The man with the flag is piloting the shipping traffic. The white item in the hands of the woman and girl is probably a sweet.
