Object:Emblem of the Oficiul Național Cinematografic (O.N.C.)
Description:The picture shows the emblem of Romania’s National Cinematographic Office featuring a crown and cross.
Comment:O.N.C. was founded at the end of the 1930s. In the beginning, the office produced a periodic newsreel programme and documentaries, and later started feature production. Construction also began on a studio, which was completed with difficulty due to the start of World War II. O.N.C. ceased to exist in 1948 when Romanian cinema was nationalized.
