The ram forms the centre of the image, the man is in shadow with only his head and shoulder partly to be seen. He is wearing a flat cap, a striped shirt and a V-neck pullover. The street is dominated by a large imperial building to the left. A man in a dark coat and hat is walking in the same direction, at some distance. The picture was most probably taken for Kurban bayramı. Preparations for this religious holiday and the start of festivities were reported in short articles and pictures that sometimes reappeared a year or two later on the same or similar occasions.
